Yes, because it's not like the anime changed almost everything about the end of the FT arc.

Nah, nothing major IMO, but then I'm not an overzealous Annie fan so. That's why I said to check out both.

It's worst what they did to Eren. They changed all his 'complex' characterization (as complex as this story can be) during that fight to RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE FLAME TITAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN.

Re: DA

Because Annie was the only character they ruined?

Nothing major?
lol Eren went from cool and collected controlling his titan form PERFECTLY working in sync with the soldiers in the manga to rage monster on a rampage in the anime.

Levi went from injured and sidelined to keep him out of upcoming expeditions, to being able to do shit all of a sudden.

These are pretty big divergences IMO.

The arc needed changing, if you ask me.

Re: DA

Why, out of curiosity??

Re: DA

Maybe, but the changes they added were terrible and ruined it.

NA

I agree. And I hope to God they change some of the following arc (if the anime ever gets a season 2). At this point I feel like the author is just making shit up as he goes.

I feel like some SnK manga fans have never truly seen a manga butchered by its anime, to be complaining about the finale like they do.

The SnK finale was just weird though. It just didn't make sense. Does this mean than SnK manga fans can't complain about it because there are worse anime adaptions? Great logic there.

ayrt

I don't know what you mean by "weird" and "didn't make sense" because I watched the anime first, and it made sense to me. Possibly because I've watched a ton of anime adapted from manga that hadn't finished yet, so I'm forgiving toward dangling plot threads. I knew we weren't going to learn anything significant about the titans so "the fight is over but the war rages on" is a sensible and satisfying outcome (for me).

The anime handled the FT, gave most of its main characters a moment to shine/say something interesting or inspiring, and ended on a note of hope. They kicked the remaining mysteries to post credits as sequel bait, giving the characters a moment of breathing room. In the manga we didn't get any closure out of FT and it just charged ahead into the next arc. Considering it might be a year or more before we get more SnK anime, if we ever do, I'm perfectly happy with how they ended.

And I don't think manga fans can't or shouldn't complain about things that bother them, but the way some talk about the anime ruining and butchering the last two eps, you'd think this was Gantz or Hellsing. The anime didn't change THAT much.

No it didn't, it was perfectly fine and coherent.

Shoving Levi in our faces every second is just pandering to the fangirls, and it's cheap.

Giving Mikasa Armin's moments and giving Levi Hanji's moments just because they are more popular characters is more disgusting pandering.

Changing Eren from someone who can cooperate in his titan form to a rage monster makes him seem like he didn't learn anything.
