Maybe, but that behaviour does suggest they are prone to doing things for attention, and care more about being seen to be hot than being seen as legitimate gamers therefore I have reasons to doubt their creds.

When you act like a pinup girl rather than a serious person you can't complain when people don't take you seriously.

Again, I don't see a causal link between those things - they're very different claims. second, even if they care about being seen as hot, that still doesn't mean they're not legitimate gamers. third, I think "does things for attention" covers a lot more territory than just Team Unicorn even amongst people you'd consider 'legitimate gamers'.
