Actually, I'm one of those people who doesn't believe make-up is fanservice. But you know what? Fine. The lipstick is an assault on their characters, and the animators should be ashamed of themselves. Happy?

Yes. But you have to understand that most people bothered by the lipstick is because the females in SnK have the same treatment by the author than the male characters, for a lot of us that's very empowering and refreshing. The lipstick kinda ruined it. It's not a baseless complain.

I'd say the complaint was more valid if all the main women had gotten lipstick, but only three did. Five didn't, including Christa, Sasha, and Hanji, who are recurring and important characters if not actual mains. I just don't really get it.

It's fanservice if the situation is weird for them to wear makeup. Why would they be wearing lipstick in the military?

They sell makeup on military bases IRL.

I'm talking about Shingeki though...

You didn't say 'in Shingeki'. You said 'in the military.' Therefore, it's not incorrect to take your words at face value.

But regardless, I stand by my statement. They'd have makeup if they wanted to wear it.
