I think the deal is that the show put a lot of effort and money into some of their scenes, namely anytime where they're actually using the 3D maneuver gear to fight titans. But that meant other scenes featured a lot of still shots and reused frames. So both sides are right? At times it looks fantastic, and other times, it looks cheap.
