and I just loved the focus on Uhura, and darling baby Chekov, and Kirk actually being comfortable and kind with a kid, and Spock...oh, Spock. And Dr. Awesome McSassypants! And the worldbuilding! And spears with knapped stone points, yes yes yes.

I really liked Dr. Awesome Sassypants too. That's just a damn fun book.

I tend to like most of the TOS Pocket Books tie ins, though. :)
