I know this is not a Big Fandom movie, but I kind of really love it. After Murphy died, it made it hard to watch. But I watched it again and remembered how hopeful the ending made me.

I like to think that Rae treated Molly like a surrogate aunt after the ending. Like, when she is trying to transition from child-to-teenager fashionably, she would go see Molly. When a new stupid movie came out, they had Molly-Rae nights where they went and saw it and got diner food after. Because Rae really needed someone like that. I was a lot like Rae as a child, and I had someone like that.

That's why it bothered me when Murphy passed away, I realized, I'm terrified of my Molly leaving.

Whereas if you asked RTD to describe Rose he'd end up going off on some three hour love declaration about her flaws and her weaknesses and her beauty and her humanity and her background and her family and where she lived and her past loves and food she enjoys and music she likes and jokes she finds funny and her delicious selfishness but also her immense compassion and her wicked eye make up and her political opinions and her mixed emotions for her father and her strength but also her vulnerability and her uncertainty and her conflicting natures of wanting freedom and love, but also wanting to be there for her mother, and being torn between those two lives and being oh-so-young but so very brave.

And I think that kind of sums up their approaches when it comes to lady characters.

I don't like Moffat's work either but I can't stand it when people say stuff like this on Tumblr. Rose is feisty and pretty, loves the Doctor, wears tight skirts and also functions as something "for the Dads" and it's dumb to pretend she's sooo different.

I HATE that One True Companion bullshit.

I also hate that RTD's work is now idolized compared to Moffat's writing. RTD only looks like a feminist compared to Moffat's incompetence.

I would give anything for a Polynesian version of a Disney Princess. There is so much mythology and stories to work with that there's no way this movie would be boring. I really hope the talk of Princess Moana isn't just a rumor.

Am I being overly sensitive in the way he was introduced? He hits April's locker with a hockey puck, surprising/irritating her, announces she's to tutor him for extra credit. And then stares at her until she gives in.

Secret Because: Casey Jones is a fandom darling.

I have no issue with Levi, but didn't like him as Fandral.

I lost all interest in this show when his 'origins' were revealed.
