Isn't this kinda a spoiler for A5? I mean there aren't many people who the Phantom could be.

I think him being the Phantom would have been good as well. I do think the choice of Phantom was good, however. I was happy with the reveal of who it was.

Yeah, I realized my mistake and resubmitted it with the correction, but apparently it didn't go through...

And yeah, but I mean I wanted him to be the ACTUAL phantom. Like the guy at the bottom of it all. They could have had a really choice plotline about him faking the HAT-1 incident so suspicion wouldn't fall on him.

I understood that, no worries.

I thought for a bit he might have been the actual Phantom. The whole case 5 plotline would have been interesting in a different way. But, the real Phantom makes a lot of sense as well if you look back at previous cases. If he had been the Phantom, I'm not sure if everything would have meshed together well at the end.

I kind of liked that he had PTSD, and Clay helping him deal with it. Not that it wouldn't have been interesting, but it would have made me think it was a bit of a more rehash, only with case 2-4 in Justice For All. (about my only "issue" with this game being that I kept feeling like I'd seen various plots and characters before, only this time mish-mashed).

Bobby sort of had the buildup to grow on you, so I'm definitely biased towards this character you'd known through all the cases, and who the defense trio totally came to trust and rely on, not only turn out to be the culprit but also deconstruct why he had exaggerated animation and dialogue (over compensating, rather than "just another wacky, quotable character).

Even though I didn't think he was the Phantom, I did get a little suspicious when 4 ended so abruptly. It made me wonder if he was going to turn out to be guilty after all and they'd have to get him on something else because of double jeopardy. (After the first "reveal" at the end I was like, holy crap, did I get it right?)

Now for a spoiler of my own:

I wish that we got to be around the real Fulbright for the first few cases, and have him murdered and taken over by Phantom behind the scenes during the game. The thought that when did that happen would haunt me forever.

I like to have the knife in my heart. Especially consider I'm pretty convinced that I'd adore the real Bobby. And I'd cry my eyes out. But I just ... IDK, the way Mia got killed off was HOLY MOTHER MOLY MOLY and Bobby would've really hit me.

That being said, I don't know why some people ask themselves whether or not Bobby's real personality was just like the one the Phantom put on. I mean, it was explicitly stated that the Phantom always portrays the people whose identity he's taken 100% just like they were. Which honestly adds a lot more poison to the whole thing, haha :(

Agreed! In my mind Bobby is a just, over the top, enthusiastic copper who got into the job because he wants to do the right thing, and he will fight teeth and nails for it.

Oh poor Bobby. You will always live in my heart. Even if we've never met. :(

Same here. The thing is, I used to not like him in the beginning because I was sort of bitter that Gumshoe was nowhere to be seen and I was like: "No, go away, you're not Gumshoe and you're annoying" but then the third case happened and all of a sudden I was like: "Oh no, he's adorable"... *cries silently*
