No, I meant the Original Trilogy. The thing is, I love the books, too (though the Tolkienistas sometimes make me want to dislike them out of spite), and I never would have read them but for Peter Jackson. I think hundreds of thousands of fans could say say the same.

*nods* I see, I see. I think that's what a lot of people get so pissy about, actually! Like, "You never would've read the books if it weren't for the movies, so you aren't a true fan." I've seen a looot of fandoms that are like that, whether the original work is a book or comic or whatever.
