Here is a question I forgot to ask, and everyone else in this thread too, but where the fuck is Daddy Dearest in this? You're the step-parent, he's the actual parent. Why isn't he the one putting the screws to her to get her to do her chores? He should be playing the bad guy here, not leaving it to you to cop the flak for it. She's the spawn of his loins, he shouldn't be leaving the heavy lifting to you. Is she playing the two of you off each other leaving you the bad guy but being Daddy's Little Angel, in which case she is a manipulative little cow, or is he in the same place as Cinderella's father? If the latter then give her the old marching orders, you have no responsibility to her if he's deep in the cold earth.
