I've got a mad kink (? is that the word in this circumstance) for very strong emotions and deep feelings ( probably because my own emotions and feelings are so dulled), so I gravitate to pairings with so much angst potential- pairings that are definition of "hurts so good."

I totally get what you mean, I do like having some pairings that actually do work and are happy, but there is a certain something about the dysfunctional WHY CAN'T YOU FUCKERS JUST STOP HURTING EACH OTHER levels of pain that some ships bring. Most definitely 'hurting in all the right ways'.
