It might take me a little while but I certainly intend on finishing it.

Neither do I, unless you count Dead Space(which I don't because those games are so not horror). Same here, it'd be nice to not have that horror trope wig me out so much and so far Last of Us has been okay, which is good!(Now zombie movies on the other hand, might take some time)

Aye I had heard a fair bit of chatter about it on the internet when it came out, most of it positive and even only having played a bit I can understand why people like it. I am very fond of the scenery as well, it's just nice. I am going to be the worst when it comes to equipment hoarding in this game I can already tell, limited use? Well fuck I better not use it unless it's absolutely dire!!1!(No this wont bite me in the ass)

Dead Space isn't horror?! Haha, I've never played it, but I've watched the first 12 minutes or so and that alone felt like enough to permanently damage my psyche. Maybe I'm just easily frightened when it comes to video games.... (I am.) Anyway, maybe you need to work on desensitizing yourself? Unless you just aren't interested in zombie stuff; it isn't for everyone. However I really like the trope in TV and movies and yea, I'd like to branch out into video games.

Ooo yes, the graphics are ridiculously shiny and realistic; I love them so much. The character animations are good too; I'm just impressed in general. (Also, idk what difficulty you're playing on, but I decided on easy since I was worried about the gameplay and wanted to get through the story. I almost always have full ammo and as many items as I can carry. In lots of situations stealth is encouraged, and even if you don't get to go that route there are melee weapons or your fists, and they all work quite well! So I wouldn't worry about hoarding stuff too much.)

Haha, well I don't consider it horror. Probably horror in a story sense but it's certainly not the survival horror that it markets itself to be, if I'm selling ammo and health packs in order to clear my inventory then that's really not survival horror at all.(But Dead Space is a weird one for me because I should by all rights be shit scared of Necromorphs since they are essentially space zombies, but my brain views them as parasitic aliens instead and somehow I'm fine?)

I'm easily frightened by horror movies so we all have our limits. I am working on it slowly, Last of Us is part of it and watching the occasional zombie clip on youtube. Bar one freakout it hasn't been so bad so I think I'm getting better.

They are, I was walking around for a good long while when I was playing just staring at the scenery and environments, and also getting the little in game dialogue bits from npc's hanging around. It's all very interesting so far and I'm enjoying the setting. Ngl, punching a zombie in the face was hilarious. (I put it on normal because I auto-piloted through the set up bit, this may have been a mistake but oh well. Hoard all the things!)
