I think if this situation is frustrating you so much, you need to sit your step daughter down and have a one on one talk with her. I just finished high school and thought i could lie in bed and sleep all day, but my Dad's partner had a big talking to with me, told me that I was going to have to help around the house a lot more and that I needed to stop putting off getting a job and to pretty much stop being lazy because it was grating on everyone's nerves. Of course I didn't like being told I was being lazy, but it was true and it was a good kick up the backside. Sometimes people just need reality checks, like I did. Now I'm helping my Dad's partner move in, helping cook dinner, cleaning up and all that jazz and I must admit, it's nice not having people pissed off at me anymore. XD
