Re: DUAL DESTINIES SPOILERS

But it is, and always has been since this courtesy started being offered, the sole responsibility of the secretmaker to warn for spoilers. I've got no problem if people want to yell at OP for not warning but I fucking hate this entitled attitude that secrets should be *moved* just because you got spoiled. Being spoiled is a risk you take by being here (and, I'd wager, not slowing down and taking care with what you're looking at).

I'm lost. Where's the yelling? O.o I suggested a spoiler warning on top since the game is just out, that is all. I didn't even get spoiled myself, having finished the game. But other people might, and if adding a warning could stop that, why not?

(As for the slowing down and being careful part, the placement makes it kinda hard: it is the very first secret you see when you click on the link. A Lj cut would take care of that nicely, with no need to "move" anything).

If you didn't get spoiled yourself then you've no standing to argue for a spoiler. It's like all those white upper class women who mutter about the "rights of the negro" while just fucking everything up for everyone by muttering about an argument they've no right to be in. Unless you are the secret OP, or were spoiled, then you have no reason to demand it have spoiler warnings. If you were spoiled, you still have no standing, because you were warned at the start of the post, so unless it was post one you plugged on in. If there is anything, anything at all, you don't want spoilers for, then don't look at F!S, because there is a chance the post will contain spoilers for that thing.

Wow. Aren't you taking this, like, a mile or two too far? I simply pointed out (as someone who know how much of a spoiler that is) that the secret is a spoiler of a game that's just out. That's it. Bringing in racial issues in something like this kinda trivializes far more serious issues.

Anyway, as I said the matter would be easily solved with a cut and a warning, since the game is JUST out. Doesn't seem an unreasonable suggestion. Again, if everyone (especially from outside the States) had to avoid fandomsecrets all the time just in case of unwarned spoilers for stuff that is barely out, then plenty of people shouldn't be on it at all, ever. Which would be a loss of interesting discussions and inputs, if you ask to me.
(I apologize in advance for any spelling mistakes: my post grad end term party is just over and I'm more drunk than I have any right to be this early in the evening.)
