I think this is one of the best books I've ever read. The ending is definitely in my top three. This is the type of book that keeps me hunting despite the dreck that's 99% of fantasy. But no one else seems to have heard of it.

The bit about the proper way to cook porcupines leaves me in tears every time...

Even though I know it's not fair to other people, I can't stand it when someone casually mentions liking a song that has a very special meaning to me.

A couple of years ago I watched one season of Doctor Who with my family. Specifically the season with the Tenth Doctor and Martha. After this season the TV channel changed its programming and I never had the time to watch it again. Recently I decided to give it another go and just watch the episodes online. I started with the Ninth Doctor and I figured I'd work my way up to where we are now. I didn't expect to like Rose because I loved Martha so much but... I actually prefer her over Martha and I can't even explain why. It makes me feel like such a bad fan, especially with how underappreciated Martha is, and how much hate Roes get for being so overrated.

I'm so sorry, Doctor Who fandom!

This has probably been expressed before.

But it pisses me off SO much when anyone says of a male/male or female/female ship that people are just 'misinterpreting the friendship' or 'reading romance into everything' or 'reinforcing any close friendship has to be a romance'

since I've never ever seen that said about a male/female ship before.

I'm sure someone's going to pop up in the comments and correct me on the last part. and even if it is applied to male/female pairings occasionally that doesn't erase the icky feeling I get when I see it.

I hated her as Mystique. I thought she was super annoying and whiny and it didn't seem like Jennifer Lawrence could separate some of her quirky personality from the way she talked and carried herself as Mystique.

This is a secret because I absolutely adore Jennifer Lawrence. I think she's lovely, but this character was just not right for her at all, in my opinion.

These movies would have been so much better if Loki was the protagonist.
