Tumblr is in a rage again after the newest episode. Dean and Cas talk about the woman Cas had sex with, and how hot she was, etc. It was pretty squicky since the woman was actually possessed and then had to be killed. However....I don't understand why people are so shocked. This is SPN. Jokes like that happen all the time. It's not the first time Dean has thought someone being possessed was hot, either.

I'm starting to wonder if the tumblr fandom is only watching SPN for Destiel now, because I just really do not get it. It's season nine, how do you guys not know SPN has an awful, awful track record with how they treat women. Or sex. Or women dying.

I think that's where a lot of the dislike of these episodes is coming from. I can understand being creeped out about the woman who died, but the pornstar episode wasn't that bad.

Possessed, or possibly killed beforehand and replaced by a Reaper who adopted her form. Tomato/tomahto, I suppose, but the episode really didn't make it clear which it was.

Not all of us are in it for the Destiel, or as horrified and indignant as our more vocal brethren make it seem.

spn fandom is the only fandom whose suffering brings me actual delight. i don't even follow this show i just follow the wank because wow

i'm guessing a lot of people are saying they're mad @ this because of misogyny when really they're mad because of their otp. "you guys this is just so problematic" yeah ok it was fine before and now it's so problematic!!!!! funny how that happened
