My SO addresses gifts to me from "other people." Like, one year I got a gift from Satan (it was the abysmal excuse for a film "Ed "). Also, he does themes. One year I had a Very Star Trek Christmas and almost all my gifts where Star Trek related. This year he says it's "villain" themed which I think means he bought me a shit ton of Randall (Monsters U) merchandise.

I don't remember having any weird traditions when I was kid, though.

my dad has given me Xmas presents that he signed as being from Captain Picard, John Cleese, Yoko Ono, etc.
