If you're more comfortable leaving kudos than comments, there's nothing wrong with that, but keysmash enthusiasm in the comments to my stories makes me happy because it means somebody really enjoyed my work. And anybody who gets snarky or critical about your comments for not being ~elaborate~ enough is a jerk who doesn't deserve any comments at all.

I think I've only got one keysmash review, but it was on a custom-written giftfic in a fandom I'd never written before. I absolutely treasure every line of their asjkdf-ing and OMG-ing.
