I was so dreading her being in the special, but I think they way they did it was the best way, and I was actually glad to have 'bad wolf' pop up again. I'm thoroughly burned out on Rose but she didn't hurt the ep for me, so yay

Same here. I realized after a moment who she was, and was really impressed with that. I never hated Rose, but yeah, I got bored of her and liked the twist for that reason as well.

It was kinda annoying that Rose herself wasn't actually in the special.

But to attract more viewers and generate more buzz (since Rose is consistently the most popular companion), they used Billie Piper to play a completely different character.

It should have been Susan tbqh.

At first, I kind of felt cheated as someone who was a massive Rose fan. I would've adored some real Ten/Rose interaction.

But Billie Piper was so good, and I thought Moffat did a pretty good job of explaining her presence, that I went with it. Rose's story was complete (though I didn't particularly enjoy its resolution personally), no need to mess with that. Plus, I didn't trust Moffat not to ruin Rose, so I was a bit relieved.

Susan would've been better, probably, yeah. But I was happy.

Susan would have been great if this was a Big Finish and they could have cast Carole-Anne Ford, but the problem is that the Moment isn't straightforwardly like Rose. It's effective because we can see Rose in her, but it's also clearly not Rose. I fear that someone doing a Susan-based Moment would just have come over like someone doing a poor impression of Ford.

It made me so happy when I realized that it wasn't Rose, that she wasn't in the episode. I can't stand her, but I thought that The Moment was pretty cool.

They probably deliberately picked that picture for the glowy eyes, since that's the little nod to Rose and why the Moment looks like her.

That's not a great angle for her, but she's got kind of a bad overbite situation going on there so it can't be helped.

I actually really liked her as The Moment, and I thought it worked well with her not really being Rose. Plus, as much as I got burned out on Rose toward the end, there will always be a special place in my heart for the Bad Wolf.

I loved how they conceived of having her there. After all, 'Bad Wolf' was pretty much the most powerful thing in the universe ever since season 1. It was literally the Time Vortex incarnate. It makes perfect sense that it would manifest to the Doctor as Rose considering that was the first shape and only shape it ever took. And I think Billie did a great job.

I wish it had been Rose herself, but I think what they did was OK. I was glad that Bad Wolf showed up. But I adore Rose and wanted her there.

I really wish we had gotten Rose, too. but then I think of all the ways Moffat could have fucked her up and... idk if I should be sad or relieved we didn't get her.

I'm relieved there wasn't any sappy emo Rose/Ten soap opera epic in the 50thh anniversary but I wish she hadn't been in it at all.

I like Billie, so seeing her in the 50th was nice.

I just eyeroll every time some hardcore Rose stan starts trying to turn the Moment into Rose, though. IT WASN'T ROSE.

But she looked like Rose, and I kinda wish 10 & 11 could've just seen her at least briefly. Oh well.
