I do for one meal almost every day, but that's cause you can do it cheap in my area and it's hard to cook for one (unless I just wanna eat sandwiches all day, lol) When I was a kid we would eat out maybe 2-3 times a month, and that was usually fast food.

Hardly ever, except when the kitchen was being worked on.

Depends. Sometimes once a week, sometimes maybe every other week or so. Usually it's just ordering pizza though.

Once a week. Friday night to be exact. :3

Way, way too much - usually around once a day. Ideally it would be much less but my situation is what it is.

About once a week. We don't have much variety. Oftentimes I'll get something from Target before school

Rarely if ever. Maybe once a year? I don't know, I don't go out much at all.

When I was a kid it was only for really special occasions. There were 6 people in my family so that gets pretty expensive to feed at restaurants, plus there just wasn't as many food places about as there are today.

When I had a job, a lot because I was too lazy to cook most of the time. Plus my friends and I did team trivia at least twice every week and that took place at restaurants.

My situation now? Hardly ever. I have three roommates and two of us do most of the cooking. Every once in awhile, the one of us who makes the most money splurges and gets us pizza.

If I'm traveling for work, I sometimes eat out a lot because I may not have many options for bringing food with me and I'll usually get per diem. Otherwise, I can go several weeks without a restaurant or take-out meal. I'm really picky about what fast food or grocery store take-out I'll eat and can't afford nicer places very often, so I find it easier/cheaper just to cook and won't go out unless I forget my lunch, am really hungry in the evening but really exhausted, or I'm going out to eat with other people.

Much more often now that I have a source of money, at least once a week this semester, if not more.

Now? About once a week, but then it's also ridiculously cheap and we have one of the best tasting university restaurants (like award winning, freshly made pasta with witty sauces et al) around (if that counts). I used to go almost daily about a year ago, but now that I am mostly working on my thesis I often stay indoors in front of my computer for days, so it's sandwich time instead.

Lunch every weekday. But working, I don't have much choice.

Rarely. I work from home so it's not like I eat at places near my work. Breakdown of my estimated eating out habits:

*out of town:
**staying with family, ~3-4 times a year; usually we cook there and go out as a group 1-2 times. Also a meal while traveling each way.
**staying at a hotel (for conventions), ~1-2 a year; regular restaurant breakfasts and dinners
*out with friends; with a group as large as ours (6-11+), we only go out like twice a year now. Add maybe 6 gatherings with takeout/delivery, although lately we have been having potlucks because it is cheaper.
*family birthdays/anniversaries; ~4-6 times a year
*and the occasional "hey there's nothing in the house, let's order delivery!" around 3 times a year. Usually Thai food, mmmm.

Very rarely. I go to a bar trivia night nearly every Tuesday, but I have one beer and MAYBE split a dessert with someone. I still live with my parents while I'm looking for permanent work, so I eat with my parents. I eat out a couple times a month, if I'm going out somewhere with friends or if my family is going out to eat.

I'm still living at home, so my parents and I average about once a week. More than that and it starts getting pricey / my mom has dietary restrictions she can only push so far, but we all also hate to cook. And when friends have time to get together we pretty much always go out.

Never. Even kids' menus don't have portion sizes small enough for me to stomach, which means even the cheap places are a waste of money and food. So I only go when someone else wants to eat, and maybe have a couple bites of their stuff if they're willing to share, or like, a free breadstick that's passed out while we're waiting. :P

1-2 times a week, usually to grab pizza on cheap Tuesdays when I forgot to bring my own lunch to the office. I tire of fast food really easily, and I don't go out to a nicer dinner all that often, but when I have the money I totally do.

I don't have a girlfriend right now so unfortunately I don't... ;)

Once or twice a month at most, it depends on how tired everyone in the house is and if no one can be bothered to cook then we get take-out.

Maybe twice a week. One of those is usually a "no one feels like cooking" dinner, and the other is me treating myself to lunch because I just feel like it.

Rarely. I eat home cooked food the most or sometimes order in. Eating out I don't as much.

Almost never. Too expensive and I'm a picky eater.

Waaaaay too much. At least once a week, probably closer to three.

But we cook a lot too.

Roughly twice a year, when my parents pick me up from and drop me off at my (seaside town) college and take me out for fish and chips. I'm so poor!

I usually go out once or twice a week.

Grocery day I usually get something, with a preference for sushi or ricepaper rolls (especially ones with a good amount of salad in them).

Other days it depends on how much money I have to spare, what I get, though sushi still remains an easy option because usually a single roll is either $2.20 to $2.50. If I have more money I'll go for something bigger and more expensive.

I almost always get iced tea, favouring Lipton brand.
