Topanga/Cory is a weird pet peeve of mine because in the first few seasons Topanga was that weirdo hippy chic that everyone made fun of and Cory didn't like. Then later in the show they re-imagined their entire history and did the whole "forever together and love at first meeting" thing. So yes, I have never liked them as a couple but for very different reasons.

That bothered me, too. Especially the weird retconned "we've been together since we were babies" bullshit. I would've liked it much better if they'd kept Topanga's quirkiness and let the relationship evolve without the retcon.
