I always felt like the reasons Topanga didn't go to Yale were like 70% she wasn't ready to stop being the big fish in the little pond (i.e., that at Yale everyone would be as smart/smarter than her and she wasn't ready for it), and 30% she didn't want to leave Cory. Didn't they imply that in later episodes?

It's been years since I've seen the later seasons (I watch the earliest seasons a lot) but I seem to recall that it was more than JUST not wanting to leave Cory.

If OP was going to have beef with Cory/Topanga, I think the "A Long Walk to Pittsburgh" two-parter makes their relationship make more unhealthy than her making a choice as complicated as where she's going to school.

If Topanga had REALLY wanted to go to Yale, she would have.
