" A lot of money has never solved anyone's problems. "

Au contraire. It has always solved the problems of: where are we going to sleep tonight, what are we going to eat today, are we going to eat at all, this thing broke & can I fix/replace it, the bills are piling up, and I'm stressed out and need a fun way to relax that doesn't involve lurking at the free library (or, I need the ability to do anything not-work for a change).

You are confusing a lot of money with enough money to get by. Very different. She didn't drop out of college to get with him, she simply went to a different one.

People like to assume that all of their problems are money related when only a few of them are. You aren't going to quit hating yourself just because you have a lot of money.
