That is the most hilarious fandom-related dream I've heard in a while.

That's a great line, though. You should sell it to the writers of the show.

You have amazing dreams. I now want to see Hannibal wrestle an alligator.

Secret 5 - Hannibal

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-12-10 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is Hannibal Lecter from the TV series "Hannibal" dining fancily.]

I don't watch Hannibal at all, all I know about the show is from my tumblr dash. Not a secret.

But last night I had the weirdest dream where I was having dinner with Will and Hannibal and the whole time I knew that what we were having was human meat but I was scared so I ate anyway. Then Will said "This is really good" and Hannibal said "Thank you. They were Irish ...The people who sold me the meat, that is." It was super creepy (but it's cracking me up as I'm writing it).

Later, we were attacked by a shape-shifting alien, so Will and I hid in the bathroom, but the alien changed into a crocodile and busted the door. Luckily, Hannibal saved us and it was awesome.

I can't really tell anyone about this, but I wanted to so fandomsecret it is.

I thought this dream was going to end with Hannibal killing and serving the alien!crocodile too, though even without that this is the most hilarious dream.

This sounds like a fanfiction prompt that I would read and favourite. Your dream Hannibal is also very IC, and I can totally buy that he'd knock out an evil alien which in turn only leads Will to trusting Hannibal even more because IC.

He was the one who released the alien crocodile. It was all part of his plan.

LOL! Very true to character, very funny to think of him just giving up on puns and being more and more obvious about the cannibalism.

I'm imagining OP and Will clutching each other and screaming in the bathroom and it's cracking me up.

(Anonymous) 2013-12-10 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you for that glorious mental image, now I'm cracking up too.

(Anonymous) 2013-12-10 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, wow, how did you guess? In my dream that was exactly what was going on: Will and I sitting on the floor behind the bathroom door screaming and clutching each other like a couple of terrified kids. It's really funny now, wasn't all that funny while I was dreaming. -OP

Fantastic dream, OP.

I thought Hannibal and Will were the Irish speakers when I first read this, and that made me laugh. I pictured them nonchalantly eating human meat with thick Irish brogues, possible wearing kilts for no reason, even though they wouldn't be Scottish.

Normally telling dreams makes them sound boring. This dream is amazing. A+ OP!

(Anonymous) 2013-12-10 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Aw yes, another good Hannibal secret! Awesome dream, by the way!

(Anonymous) 2013-12-10 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
so, judging by the comments, I'm the only one who thinks people who tell their nonsensical dreams and act like it's so fucking profound and edgy are boring as shit?

yeah. thought so.

I don't think there's anything profound or edgy about OP's dream, and they most likely realize that; it's amusing to OP, as it is to us. That's all.

Thank you for writing this out OP.

OP, I also had a Hannibal-related dream without having ever watched the show... though in mine he was less in character and more... well, you'll see.

In my dream, I was accompanying some couple to Hannibal's huge estate for a late night dinner party. It was all going well, but for some unknown reason when the clock struck twelve, Hannibal went all kinds of crazy and started hunting us down with a kitchen knife. He got the wife, while the husband and myself managed to escape and drive off in the car, though, apparently, Hannibal had freaking nearly emptied the tank so we had to stop by at a gas station... I remember we were so terrified that we couldn't stop driving all throughout the night.

Then, the next day I was accompanying the police over to the estate and for some reason they didn't believe me at all so they were all like: "we need to look for clues and shit". I was still bloody terrified because Hannibal was just prancing around, showing the police the dining room and stuff. He then lead one of the policemen upstairs while I stayed with the leading inspector on the ground floor and then the fucking clock struck twelve again and I just panicked and the inspector finally seemed to realize something wasn't right so we tried to get out but the doors were locked. So, we barricaded ourselves in the dining room and that's pretty much the last thing I remember before I woke up...

Thinking about it makes me laugh now, but fuckkkk it wasn't funny when it happened. Nearly had a panic attack... it's been a while since I thought about, but I guess your dream made me want to share, so here you go.

I only watched the show because my dash went on about it so much that I had a dream about it that was so creepy it stuck with me into the next day.

(Anonymous) 2013-12-10 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)

I haven't watched Games of Thrones since we gave up HBO for budgetary reasons after the first season (though I've started reading the books (though the waitlists are so long I haven't got past Ned's [spoiler] and the birth of Dani's [spoiler] anyway)). But someone I follow on Tumblr is such an admitted Lannister stan that I dream about them, at least during the airing season.
