I don't understand the love for Abigail either... I didn't really hate her, but just found her really boring as a character. I find myself hoping that she really is dead but I highly doubt it (I'd be genuinely, and pleasantly, surprised if she doesn't turn up alive in the next season).

Are you me? I understand people liking and sympathizing with Abigail, and were she a real person I would, too. But as a fictional character I find her boring and frustrating. And rude.

Abigail was one of my favourite characters, but to each their own.

I just wish both sides of the argument (...and all fandom-related arguments, come to that) would stop being dicks about it.

I don't want to see her back for season 2 either, outside of flashbacks, but I really loved her character and story. That she was a plain girl who just happened to fall into one shit situation after another, and just grossly manipulated by someone she thought she could trust, was kinda really good for me. It also helped that she literally looked normal to me—by which I'm not saying she's ugly—really helped her appeal as someone I kept wanting to see stop suffering gdi.

That's just my mix of things on it. To each their own.

Secret 10 - Hannibal, Abigail Hobbs (character)

I disliked Abigail and found her storyline really dull.

Secret because: Most people in the Hannibal fandom seem to love her and want her back for season two.

I liked her. If she's in season 2 somehow, her being under Hannibal's tutelage would be great. Or even Will's. Her joining a side would be a neat plot line.

A lot of people in the fandom are around her age and relate to her that way, except for the part where they're really attracted to these much older lead guys and she doesn't appear to be. She's not a favorite of mine, but I liked her. There's nobody in the main cast I really don't like, though. I think Jack is a dick much or most of the time, but you can see why he's like that.

yeah i found her really "meh" so i was glad when she was no longer in the show.

i joined the fandom after finishing s1 so i was surprised to discover fans were creaming themselves over the hints that abigail might come back for s2.

I will be legitimately disappointed if Abigail returns for Season 2. I don't care if she's alive or dead, as long as she doesn't come back. I'd be okay with others mentioning her and flashbacks or whatever, just not as a main character.

I just can't take too much of Hannibal manipulating people and getting away with it, tbh. Even if she knows his true colors (assuming she's alive) he would still use her to his own advantage, and seeing him groom her through the season really put me off.

Oh and the "murder family" thing is annoying as fuck.
