Perhaps the appeal is that he was willing to put himself out there and look a bit silly. Confidence can be a serious turn-on for some people

Haven't seen the video, but I agree. Someone who has a good sense of humor, doesn't take themselves too seriously and is willing to be silly and make a fool of themselves every once and while is very appealing. (Not even talking about Hiddleston tbh, just in general. Hiddleston is cute though, I just get burnt out on him easily.)
