Amen. How the hell did they drop the ball on that one when there were hundreds, if not thousands fan theories online on how everything was connected and what was going to happen. Many of them logical, creative and worthy to be put on television. They could have just tweaked one of those theories enough to make it their own and ran with it. But no, they gave us...that.

When Xena was on the air a fanfic writer wrote a couple of episodes. What was there to prevent Lost from doing that? Nothing. They just decided they hated their fans.
