Is it just me or are comment notifications not working?

I think dreamwidth might've recently changed their notification system. Mine weren't working a couple days ago so I checked my settings. Notifications were off for some reason and to get them working again I had to have them sent to my DW inbox too, which is kind of a pain.

Oh yes, I noticed they were in also appearing in my DW inbox two days ago and fiddled with some settings. But that does not explain why they went to my email normally yesterday...

Thanks for the reminder things were wonky there, I'll check my settings again.

Hmmmm, I wonder why they were working normally for you yesterday but aren't today? Unless the settings are the problem again, maybe there's something fucking up on DW's end. It's annoying, I know.

It appears they've gotten rid of the option for email only notifications. Oh well. :\

Afraid so! I just checked again to be sure I didn't miss anything, and it looks the same. It seems like you need comment notifications sent to the DW inbox now too, or you won't get emails about them.

Maybe it'll be fixed soon? (If it IS a mistake, but idk why DW would change this now...)

I think i always got them to my inbox? If you try to just choose 'email', you can't. LJ used to do that, and it was so annoying, because i didn't even know i *had* an LJ inbox, an it was stuffed to the gills with junk.

I was aware of the DW inbox but until recently they just came to my email. (I'm pretty sure when I first came to DW it let me set just email.) Idk what happened!

I....can't even remember anymore, heh. I didn't use my DW account at all until a couple years ago, so...no clue.

Oh, thank you for confirming that. I noticed the inbox thing awhile ago, but I was wondering if turning it off might stop them from showing up in my email, too. Damn.

Unfortunately it did. :( I thought it odd that DW would change notifications now, so I hope it ends up being a temporary thing. I don't use my DW inbox much, but I don't like it full either.

At least I'm not the only one having issues with it!
