OMG I just posted about this! The first season was so awesome and I love the comic tie in but noooooo Season 3 had to ruin ALL of it.

Seriously! I even have elaborate thoughts on its demise, which I've narrowed down to the writer's strike, way too many characters, wanting to pander to Sylar fangirls, and not really knowing what it even wanted to be.

I only ever watched the first season, according to my friends that watched the whole thing I made the right choice.

Yes yes THIS. The first season was so much fun and had so much potential and then it just went all downhill rapidly from there.

I didn't even watch the first season when it aired, but got into it at the start of the second season and caught up part-way through with a friend's DVD set. It's like it went downhill even faster for me that if I'd been watching it from the beginning. :(

I didn't pick it up after the writer's strike so I must have made the right decision. But the writer's strike may have stopped Heroes momentum?
