Honestly, I'm not that into them, but when certain people put them together it's more of a way for me to expand my musical tastes and listen to bands I wouldn't have heard otherwise.

Ah... but I don't quite get that either? I mean, on most of the fanmixes I've seen, the bands/songs on it tend to be fairly popular (at least, I think they're popular since I've seen them mentioned around and since I give zero shits about English music in general I just assume they're popular), so I doubt they'd do much to expand anything.

Like I said, it's specific people that I look for because they have similar tastes in music, but live on the opposite coast from me and use a lot of local bands. But I can also understand why you don't care for them and I use it for a different reason than I suppose most people.
