I despise and adore this game in equal measure. Sure, it brought me some excellent times with lovely people. But at the same time the Guild Masters and the company are disgusting and manipulative. But the story is something that I can't wait to see how it plays out. But I can't help but feel that they haven't fixed the intrinsic issues with the game that keep me from playing more often.

Too long; didn't read: How the hell am I supposed to feel about this stupid game???

OMG! It always seems like there is no one left playing this game or even know that it exists. I love and loathe the game, but not because of the GMs, exactly. The game ran too slowly on my older computer and the assholes that play were set on ruining it for everyone. Between then crashing the game, the widespread duping, and the time that players corrupted people's player data, it's a wonder that anyone still plays this game.

I've recently purchased a new computer and I'm considering coming back, but for what? The story's moved way on and my guild is dead. Plus, it's a HUGE money drain. But still, those good times. q.q

I'm fairly new as a gamer but this secret made me want to look into this game, but wiki only has info about the gameplay mechanics and super vague stuff I don't care about. As someone who has actually played and seems to like this game: what is it about, and what makes it appealing?

And I understand that you're disillusioned, lol. I'm more asking what makes it appealing when you first start playing, rather than at present. I have very limited funds so I might not even be able to pay for anything for awhile, especially with Christmas coming up, but I want to know more about this, so...
