Who says they have to be token?

And why not? Why couldn't some of the dwarves been POC?

Because adding women/POC simply for the sake of adding women/POC isn't inherently progressive.

I'm not saying one of the dwarves couldn't have been a POC. but that isn't going to make the movie automatically better, because there is nothing inherently wrong with having an all-white cast. And if the awkward addition (more to the women situation than POC) is clearly just for the sake of having a woman, it's worse than not having a woman at all imo.

It's just lazy thinking.
