Ah, I see. Yeah, that was a problem on my first playthrough of Dawnguard, but then I downloaded the Unofficial Dawnguard patch on Nexus and didn't have a problem with it on my next go-round. 'Course, let's face it, Skyrim in general is buggy as hell, but inconsistently so, which can make it hard to tell if it was the patch that actually fixed the problem or if it was just a matter of having a new game file.
