1) This has been a cliche in het romance for hundreds of years, so please not to be blaming yaoi writers for it, k?
2) While the fluffy, cute love thing doesn't tend to happen, some rape survivors do have romantic relationships with their rapists after the fact. It's definitely, in my opinion, more tragic than romantic, but it does happen.

Besides almost all such cases of yaoi fics/manga that uses that plot device stink of unbelievability and ridiculousness. So the OP's post still stands.
