I agree with the sentiment of this secret, but...

1) This has been a cliche in het romance for hundreds of years, so please not to be blaming yaoi writers for it, k?

2) While the fluffy, cute love thing doesn't tend to happen, some rape survivors do have romantic relationships with their rapists after the fact. It's definitely, in my opinion, more tragic than romantic, but it does happen.

In this day and age though where in yaoi is everywhere compared to het (internet-wise, that is), it's no wonder most people point on yaoi.

As for your second point, yeah, stockholm syndrome does happen at times, but when that plot device is used all the freakin time, it can get pretty tiresome. Besides almost all such cases of yaoi fics/manga that uses that plot device stink of unbelievability and ridiculousness. So the OP's post still stands.
