Natasha Kampusch, right? The girl who was with her abductor for 9 years. From what I gathered, she at least learned to tolerate her abductor.

I'd imagine, staying with someone and being forced to interact with that person for many years, your survival skills would kick in and make you try and see an upside in the matter, just so you can survive.

It's no way normal, but it can happen.
