Explanation:

In the show, Shining Armor and Princess Cadence were going to get married. Queen Chrysalis is a shapeshifter who imprisoned Cadence and impersonated her with magic, and then brainwashed Shining Armor to magically feed on his love.

Cadance is very wholesome (probably as a counterbalance to her powers, which would be seriously creepy if she abused them.) Chrysalis has a bit more personality by comparison.

It is a bit creepy just how much implied rape there was in that episode (lol, kids' show). It's not text, but it's really, really easy to read it there. The only thing stopping it would be Shining Armor's views on premarital sex. Even then, the amount of kissing and cuddling under false pretences is creepy. (And the show has made adultery jokes in two episodes, too).

I'm in a real quandary about this for a fic I'm writing - Shining Armor is going to be in a sexual relationship with a pony (not Cadance) who later turns out to be Chrysalis. I don't want to include non-consensual sex without a warning, but I really don't want to give the game away too early either.

Stick it with a "chose not to warn" label, and note that people with content triggers they're worried might be tripped can message you to ask about content. That way, people know there might be something triggery in there and can take steps to protect themselves, but you don't have to worry about spoiling the twist for readers who'd rather not be spoiled.
