What can I do with the dregs of a can of condensed milk?

(Anonymous) 2013-12-14 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
Due to shortage of other ingredients, I'm left with about two tablespoons of condensed milk. It's so nice I'd like to use it up in something, so please do share your recipes!

Make Thai tea: however you usually make iced black tea, then put condensed milk in it. Super good.

Seconding this! If you can find Thai tea at a local specialty store that's even better.

Condensed milk is also awesome in coffee.

chocolate chop cookie dough truffles. You can substitute condensed milk for regular milk.

It can be good over cold-brewed iced coffee.

That's exactly what I used the rest of it for! And I ate quite a bit of it in the making. You can definitely have too much of a good thing.

I definitely understand that when I still have a bunch more cookie dough to bake.

Like a jam? That seems like it would be sickly sweet, but maybe I've just been sneaking too much nearly-fudge! I might try it tomorrow when I don't feel sick, thank you :)

'When Rabbit said, "Honey or condensed milk with your bread," Pooh was so excited that he said, "Both," and then, so as not to seem greedy, he added, "But don't bother about the bread, please."'

I like to put it on strawberries. It looks kind of dirty, which is at least part of the appeal, but it's also delicious.

Put it on top of some rice (maybe thin it with a little actual milk) and eat it warm!
