Every now and again, my shuffle rolls around to George Michael's "Freedom ('90)" and I remember just how much I love it and immediately deem it my favorite song.

What's your favorite song?

Metallica's Nothing Else Matters and Lion King's Circle of Life.

My favorite song changes from week to week. Right now it's a toss-up between Let It Go from Frozen and Counting Stars by OneRepublic. When there is not something new and shiny to attract my attention, "favorite" usually defaults back to Paloma by Carbon Leaf.

Counting Stars is so damn catchy.

To the point where it's been stuck in my head since I made that post, yes. >.>

JPop: .... tie between Morning Musume's The Peace, Whiteberry's Natsu Matsuri and Team Syachihoko's Koibito wa Sniper.

Non-Jpop: The New Pornographers' 'Jackie Dressed in Cobras'.

There's a million songs that are equally deserving of that.

So I will pick the most contentious one from among them. "Come On Eileen."

...I love that song. And the video.

I have too many that I love to have only one favorite.

It changes quite a bit admittedly, but right now it's a four-way tie between Sing Sing Sing (all versions, really, but this is the most recent I've heard), Suspender Man, Humbling River, and Automatonic Electronic Harmonics

Slipknot's "Snuff" (I'm not a fan of theirs, oddly)
Jack's Mannequin's everything. Ehm, I'd choose "Spinning"

Songs have such various purposes to me that choosing a global favorite is impossible. But to narrow the criteria, if I were to name a song that I've loved to a consistent degree for a number of years, and whenever I hear it I remember just how much I love it, that would be Title and Registration by Death Cab.

Currently, Tutankhamen by Nightwish.

I really love "Rescue Song" (rac remix) by Mr Little Jeans...only song I've ever heard by them (him? her? dunno) but it's so beautiful and amazing.

Normally I'd say the littlest birds by the Be Good Tanyas but no, you're right, definitely Freedom '90. Thanks for reminding me about how awesome that song is :D

Do You Believe in Magic by the Lovin' Spoonful makes me irrationally happy whenever I hear it, no matter how many times I hear it, but for favorite song, I might have to go with King of Pride Rock from the Lion King musical (the stage version is longer than the movie version).
