Everyone else so far is all "WTF is wrong with you?" about this, but I understand being put off something because of what you've seen in fanworks.

There's a few characters, and even a couple of actors because of stuff that happened in an RP years ago. It's ridiculous and unfair, especially to the actors (who I honestly have nothing against the real people, since I know the RP characters have no relation to them but a name and user icons in RP accounts), but I just have this visceral reaction.

So if you can't bring yourself to play the game, then that's up to you. Sometimes bad reactions are ridiculous, but you're reaction is yours. Not theirs.

Oh yeah, I get you. There's a ton of characters I ended up hating because of their stans/fanfiction/etc (I'm looking at you Charon and Boone). It just sucks.
