There are no similar authors. At least I hope not. It takes a special kind of talent and skill to suck that badly at writing books.

You could always try Michael Crichton -- his books can be just as silly, but they're much more competently written. I highly recommend his older work.

no, if you go into a thread where someone is talking about something they love and say "what you love sucks", you are insulting them. Whether you see it that way or not, it's what you're doing.

It's kind of his thing though, the over the top anger in innocuous threads, then replying to all the anons that try to say something about it. Sometimes insulting, sometimes not. Just a different form of trolling, I guess. Everyone's got to get their little entertainments somewhere.
