He was sort of a prick in A Study in Scarlet, but other than that I adored him. And...wait, this pic is from the Noble Bachelor, right? Where he hauls the wedding dress out of the pond and runs to Baker Street so he can say "LOOK LOOK I KNOW HOW TO DO THEES" and Holmes and Watson are like *double facepalm*? Because that was adorb. :)

Also, I get annoyed that so many people assume that Holmes was hostile to Lestrade or actively disliked or resented him. Holmes mostly had a "lol Lestrade u dumb shit" attitude early on, and then gradually came to respect his good qualities apart from his crappy investigative skills, and then eventually started to actually like him. It seemed more that Watson had more of a beef with Lestrade than Holmes early on, because he was all offended on Holmes's behalf over the police taking all the credit, hence probably why he was so harsh on him in A Study In Scarlet (though of course he started to like Lestrade quickly enough as well.)

By the way, I'll say it now: Lestrade totally knew what was going on at the end of Charles Augustus Milverton. You cannot convince me otherwise. ;)
