On the top of my head she likes: Formula 1, Top Gear, stand up comedians, candy, art, british comedies, MASH, House MD, sewing, miniature cars (or whatever you call them), makeup, the colour pink and for some odd reason me...

Most of which is hard to get a hold of in Norway, and I didn't have the money to order anything earlier this year. I will probably try to find her a 1:14 car, but I am not sure if I can find one that she will like.

Edit: And that is only if I can find a place that sells them that is not a toy store...

Hmmm, amazon doesn't have anything? Or does amazon not ship to Norway?

Amazon has a lot of things, so does anywhere else online if it was that easy I wouldn't have a problem.

The thing is that the 12th of December is the last day the Postal service can promise you that anything posted in Norway will get to there in time for Christmas, and even if I tried it, things tends to be stuck in customs for like 14 days on a normal month... This is December, I'll be lucky if manages to get to me by mid January.

But I am going back home tomorrow and on Tuesday I am going shopping in the third largest town in Norway, and if nothing else I will find some DVDs and go to the fancy candy store and buy her some candy, for her. But the thing is her like me, we buy whatever we want when we want it (as long as we can afford it) and well she has all the DVDs for her shows and so on, if I am lucky they might have some Stand Up DVDs of people I know she likes.

I will also have no issue shorting out my friends gifts there, there is one geeky store so I will like every year buy them books, and for my family: Something will show up in the end.

I am known for being a great gift giver, so the pressure is always pretty high on me to find good gifts...

butting in here, but one of the things I gave to my then-husband when we were short on cash/strapped for time for Yule was a very silly coupon book that I made which included a 'gift certificate' for "whatever you like". So, if you have any vaguely handy photoshop/etc. skills, make her a gift certificate for a car, or whatever you think she'd like more, and include it in her gift package?
