Actually, I'm British so all I got is lot's of dreary rain and wind blowing northwest from the atlantic. I would love snow but our infrastructure NEVER handles snow well.
Besides, The Smiler isn't that evil, it just wants everyone to smile. Always.

14? How long does a ride on that thing last?? Is there no Health&Safety or minimum building codes over there or what? Have there been any deaths, or have they been covered up by the media? LOL j/k but wow that thing looks insane and terrifying and for me personally a whole lotta DNW.....

I was disorientated pretty crazily, but my stomach held, I'm tough like that. Anyway, there was a break in the middle of the ride, but most of that that break was going up a vertical lift, facing the sky so that wouldn't count.
If you're going DNW at that, then you don't want to see Nemesis...


Now that, is a monster, wouldn't you agree?

I wouldn't say bigger, but the fact that Alton Towers's rides can't go above tree height means that they (more specifically, John Wardley) definitely make them badder...

Can't speak for the US, but Canada's Wonderland (our only really big theme park) go higher with their coasters, so it's a long ride up, and one single, terrifying FTL ride down; not that twisty kind of eldritch terror those things look like they would be LOL.

That's what a height restriction does anon. Interesting, how a limitation on creativity produces the best results. Not that I'm dissing Canada Wonderland, mind you, I would love to ride Behemoth.

Yeeeeeah, the Behemoth is a pretty solid NO from me too. I'd much rather wander around and eat funnel cake. :-) ISTR the last one I saw went up seven stories or something? The Zipper, I think it was called. Plus, there was the Elevator, where people went straight up -- and very quickly came straight down.

I would definitely agree, if rides like that are your thing, the height restrictions are an advantage. For sadists ride designers that have to work around those limitations. It's definitely a fascinating installation from an engineering standpoint.
