Wow, that is some disturbing sameface. I'm kinda surprised people are focusing so heavily on the race!fail when there is such blatant gender!fail in the character design.

(Anonymous) 2013-12-16 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
.......they're sisters.

And it's not like people haven't complained, but it's usually comparing Anna to Rapunzel.

DA
Yeah, they're sisters. Not twins...

(Anonymous) 2013-12-16 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
They... still share genetic material. My brother and I are 3 years apart and look remarkably similar, and we're not even the same gender. Sisters looking alike isn't a stretch.

Wow, you could almost be me. My mom has pictures where from the neck up the only difference between me and my older brother is that I had hair, and his head was shaved.

(Anonymous) 2013-12-18 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
My sister is three years younger than I am and we get asked if we're twins all the time.

aside from the whole being sisters thing that was already mentioned, i can see multiple differences between their designs.

anna's eyebrows are higher, thicker, and not as long as elsa's.

elsa's eyes are bigger and rounder.

anna's chin is larger and her lips are slightly fuller.

anna has freckles, elsa doesn't.

and then there's also the whole different hair colors and eye colors.

dude if you have to make a list pointing out the different features then they have sameface. they look exactly like rapunzel too, it's just the annoying art style that needs to go the hell away

Wait, what?

"They look totally the same!"
"No, they don't. Here's what's different about them."
"Dude, you just had to tell me how they look different. This proves that they look totally the same!"

(Disclaimer: Has not seen Frozen and is not terribly interested, just totally confused by anon's ... logic.)

jesus christ i have to explain this

did you look at the descriptors? "this one's eyebrows are slightly thicker!" "this one's eyes are a little bit rounder!" "they have different hair colors!" "oh but this one has freckles!"

the differences are SO SMALL that one can only tell by things like slight eyebrow thickness and eye shape. that's lazy design.

Yes? Because your argument wasn't that the differences are too small, your argument was that them giving you examples of differences was proving your point.

I personally think them having the same face shape and eye colour and differing in almost every other aspect (including frickin' hair colour) is not "sameface". But I won't argue about it, so ... Have a nice day?

I don't think you understand how familial similarities work.

(Anonymous) 2013-12-16 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
Why can't people focus on both race!fail and gender!fail? They're not mutually exclusive, though I will admit to thinking the race!fail is bigger, since Anna and Elsa are just in the particular artist's style.
