I've quit watching this series so maybe I shouldn't say anything, but still -- did you not watch the same thing I did? The first season or so was full of misunderstandings and nonsense like that!

I mean, I think it was that there was kind of an understanding that Snow/Charming was a thing that WOULD happen? They're canonically each other's true love, so even though there was that whole cheating subplot in season 2 it was kind of understood that that was the issue of Mary Margaret and David, not Snow and Charming.
