I want to write original fiction, but every time I try to come up with a concept I end up breaking it down in my mind to its component pieces. Things like "My Take on the Dresden Files" or "Allen Quartermain meets Lovecraft" or "Dune but set in Twilight Imperium".

Then it feels too much like Alternate Universe or crossover fic, and I just cease to take the idea seriously. I mean, I know "nothing new under the sun" and so on. I could try writing it anyways and then filing off the serial numbers, I guess...

I've been out of sorts and irrationally irritated about stupid things lately and the only thing that is making me feel better is looking at pictures of Colin Morgan (as Merlin especially). I think his smile is just so wonderful, and I think he's just so cute and so beautiful. I'm weirdly embarrassed about my crush on him, where I normally wouldn't be.

I only just recently (today) realized that she says "I came in like a wrecking ball" and not "I came in like a rainbow". I haven't paid attention to the song and just mindlessly sang along, until I realized whenever I'd sing along, I never once sang the song's title. So I looked it up. ...and boy, do I feel stupid.

Whatever other issues this movie may have had, (And it did have some issues, I won't claim that it's perfect.) I think that this is the most feminist movie that Disney has ever made, and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise.

I had a nightmare a couple months back where I made one of those incomprehensible secrets where there was text every which way and sentences split up left and right; people gathered in the comments, baffled at the illegibility of it all; and I was stressing out, hopping from thread to thread, trying to explain what I'd actually been trying to say... It was one of the most OH GOD nightmares I've had this entire year.

Bonus secret: I liked the rest of the movie, too. Not as much as the original trilogy, I'll admit that, but I never thought Kingdom of The Crystal Skull was so bad I felt like swearing myself blue over it.

I loved the Lord of the Rings and I tried to like the Hobbit. But I thought this movie was so bad, I was relieved I had to leave the theater 30 minutes in.

Whatever about Tauriel. Peter Jackson destroyed Beorn's introduction. And, yeah, Martin Freeman is just terrible as Bilbo. I'm really disappointed.

The secret maker originally wrote "Turiel" instead of "Tauriel", but I'm not sure if it was a typo or a subtle show of disdain.

As much as I want more people to get into it, my biggest fear is that my comparatively small fandom (For a Japanese piece of media) will be invaded by the Shingeki No Kyojin/Free!/Dangan Ronpa types of fans.

If Moran, with appropriate queerbait-y John parallels where he wildly adored Moriarty, is not a villain in season 3, I will be inconsolable. I know there hasn't been any info about it, but Moffat is a trolling liar so I won't give up.
