...is that not the character though? (OK look I've watched approximately 8.5 episodes of Merlin, and I gave up after the Asgard showed up.) B/c I've seen the kid's face elsewhere on Tumblr and such, and the ears are unnoticeable. Maybe it's a thing they did for the show?

I think they might look more prominent in the show because of his hairstyle, but otherwise it's Colin Morgan's ears. He does have rather adorably sticky-outy ears.
