My only issue with that movie doesnt even stem from the movie but from an interview where they mention how they held off on making the movie because it was supposed to be aliens and then Independence Day came out and stole all the alien thunder and they didnt want to seem like copycats so they shelved it til they came up with an alternative and then whoever was speaking mentioned how they had a gotten a call from their co-collaberator one day who was all "I have an solution! They're not aliens, they're interdemensional beings!" and everyone was like "omg! You mad genius!"

Seriously? That's your solution? Calling them interdemensional beings instead of aliens? Really? It pains me that anyone thought that was a reasonable answer... movie was awesome fun though so who am I to nitpick :)

My issue is that the Maya never lived in South America, just Central America, and their writing looks absolutely nothing like what is shown in the movie. Otherwise, YAY RIDICULOUSNESS!
