Agreed with the badass women part. I guess it's one reason why I didn't really care about Django; there's only one woman and she's a damsel in distress :/

Secret 5 - Quentin Tarantino (film director), Kill Bill, Inglorious Basterds, Jackie Brown (films)

[Picture is The Bride, as portrayed by Uma Thurman in the movie "Kill Bill", Bridget von Hammersmark, as portrayed by Diane Kruger, from the movie "Inglorious Basterds", and Jackie Brown, as portrayed by Pam Grier, in the movie "Jackie Brown", all movies directed by Quentin Tarantino.]

I don't really like Quentin Tarantino and I find his movies pretty hit-or-miss. But if there's one thing I do love, it's how badass the women in his movies are. I know some of their actions are problematic and Tarantino's reasons for making them this way are probably a little skeevy. But I don't care. I just really, really love seeing non-sexualized women in starring roles who can kick ass and don't just exist to be love interests or eye candy.

It's refreshing. And I think it's a damn shame that these types of movies are still uncommon even in this day and age, and that Hollywood still considers it "risky" to put a woman as the protagonist in an action flick. Ugh.

Didn't we have this typo not too long ago
Oh Ricky

His heroines seem sexualized to me.
