Transcripts!
Secret 1 - Hannibal (TV series), Will Graham (character)
I hate how so many people in the Hannibal fandom think Will is a clueless dumbass because he misses so many obvious clues and didn't suspect there was something 'off' about Lecter. Of course the clues seem obvious when you're sitting at home watching the show unravel from an omniscient perspective.
I bet most people who insult him would be no more wiser if they were in his position.
Secret 2 - Bones (TV series)
Not Secret: They are still one of my favorite fictional couples. Even after they got together, the chemistry is still there.
Secret: I wish they hadn't married. As much as I want them together, it feels out of character for Brennan (like much of her characterization the past few seasons). Why can't Booth ever change for her? Why is she the one who always changes who she is?
Secret Because: This is not a popular opinion in the fandom. And I still am a fan of the show. I'll keep watching even if I dislike a lot of the current season.
Secret 3 - Sherlock Holmes
I wish we had more insight into the process by which Watson wrote his stories. I never know whether to feel sorry for Watson when Holmes insults stories that Watson wrote specifically in the hopes that they would please him, or to feel sorry for Holmes for the pressure of being someone's muse.
Bonus secret: Whoever came up with this practice of writing secrets on Page illustrations: good idea!
Secret 4 - Hannibal (TV series)
I don't get why so many people in the Hannibal fandom think that Hannibal/Will could never happen in canon. Bryan Fuller says it is already in play emotionally and mentally, and that fans should "never say never" when it comes to seeing the two kiss. So it is a possibility, at least.
Personally, I hope it does happen. Not because I ship Hannibal/Will, but because I want to see more queer representation in TV. (No matter how fucked up the relationship might be). As a queer woman, I'm just happy to see a show-runner is even considering adding such a thing to their show.
Secret 5 - Quentin Tarantino (film director), Kill Bill, Inglorious Basterds, Jackie Brown (films)
I don't really like Quentin Tarantino and I find his movies pretty hit-or-miss. But if there's one thing I do love, it's how badass the women in his movies are. I know some of their actions are problematic and Tarantino's reasons for making them this way are probably a little skeevy. But I don't care. I just really, really love seeing non-sexualized women in starring roles who can kick ass and don't just exist to be love interests or eye candy.
It's refreshing. And I think it's a damn shame that these types of movies are still uncommon even in this day and age, and that Hollywood still considers it "risky" to put a woman as the protagonist in an action flick. Ugh.
Secret 6 - Twin Peaks (TV series)
Even on my best days, I wish I was Audrey Horne.
Secret 7 - Karl Urban (Actor)
His face is starting to piss me off. I'm just so sick of seeing it.
That, and he looks identical to Castiel to me and they both insist on using that obnoxious, croaky, froggy voice.
Secret 8 - Ghost in the Shell (REPEAT)
When I was in my teens I idealised The Laughing Man, he was everything I tried and wanted to be as a person working within a corrupt system. But I've come to realise that after nearly a decade I've become Section 9 instead.
Notes
"The Laughing Man is an expert hacker, able to hide his physical presence by editing himself out of video feeds and cybernetic eyes, concealing his identity by superimposing an animated logo over his face, and hijacking cybernetic brains altogether, all in real-time."
He apparently assaulted an important political figure on live television and used his mad hacking skills to hide his appearance from everyone ever, making them think that weird logo thing was his actual face, igniting a sort of counterculture in the public.

"Public Security Section 9 was established as a search and rescue organization. Officially billed as an international organization, it is actually a counter-terrorist network and anti-crime unit operating in the Japanese National Public Safety Commission. Its operatives are allowed to act with or without government consent as they are almost unknown to the public eye. In particular, Section 9 and its members are among the best cyber warfare operatives in the country, and as a result usually end up involved in cases relating to the Internet, such as hacking and cyberterrorism."

This secret is a repeat; it was originally posted here (Secret 4, Post 2538):

Secret 9 - Hercule Poirot (fictional detective), Agatha Christie's Poirot (TV series)
It makes me so sad that we won't be getting any more. I'd be okay with them writing their own Poirot stories if it meant getting more of Suchet's portrayal.
Secret because: It's disrespectful to Christie, and who cares about Poirot anyway?
Secret 10 - Steven Moffat (screenwriter), Doctor Who (TV series)
I can see the arguments about him being 'sexist'. But the main problem I have with him is that his episodes (11 mostly) are so fucking boring.
I don't watch Doctor Who to see some overly complicated time orgy that isn't interesting enough to care about. I'd rather see a light-hearted, occasionally with some SHIT GOES DOWN plots, show. Even if it had questionable special effects.
Also, being able to give a fuck about any of the female companions (sans Amy) would be nice too. (what the fuck is up with Clara anyway)
Secret 11 - Glee (TV series), True Jackson (TV series)
I think this was one of the few actually funny moments this season. I loved the show (True Jackson) when it was on. I don't know what's more embarrassing, admitting that I loved the reference or the fact that I still watch the steaming pile of dog shit Glee has become.
Secret 12 - Characters in fiction, aging
I'm turning 30 in just over a week and I'm Scared To Death. I can't help comparing myself to all the characters I've seen on TV turning 30, and I find myself lacking. I still live with my parents, my shitty job doesn't even cover my few bills, I'm broke all the time, I'm overweight and I hate my appearance, I've never been married or had kids or even had a serious relationship. I dropped out of school after getting an Associate of Art degree, and I still don't know what I want to do with my life. I have friends who are older than me and are less well-off, so I know my life could be worse, but I often get so depressed that I barely have the energy to work and sleep, and then I get more depressed that I'm not doing more with my life.
I feel like I've wasted the last ten years.
Too long; didn't read: Fictional characters turning 30 have their lives way more put-together than mine, and that makes me depressed about my life.
