Secret 8 - Ghost in the Shell (REPEAT)
When I was in my teens I idealised The Laughing Man, he was everything I tried and wanted to be as a person working within a corrupt system. But I've come to realise that after nearly a decade I've become Section 9 instead.
Notes
"The Laughing Man is an expert hacker, able to hide his physical presence by editing himself out of video feeds and cybernetic eyes, concealing his identity by superimposing an animated logo over his face, and hijacking cybernetic brains altogether, all in real-time."
He apparently assaulted an important political figure on live television and used his mad hacking skills to hide his appearance from everyone ever, making them think that weird logo thing was his actual face, igniting a sort of counterculture in the public.

"Public Security Section 9 was established as a search and rescue organization. Officially billed as an international organization, it is actually a counter-terrorist network and anti-crime unit operating in the Japanese National Public Safety Commission. Its operatives are allowed to act with or without government consent as they are almost unknown to the public eye. In particular, Section 9 and its members are among the best cyber warfare operatives in the country, and as a result usually end up involved in cases relating to the Internet, such as hacking and cyberterrorism."
